Procedure

In 2023/2024, UWC Luxembourg will be organising a new selection procedure to nominate students eligible to represent Luxembourg at the United World Colleges. The selection process lasts roughly 4 months.

The selection process consists of five key steps:

  1. Decide whether you want to attend a UWC college for the last two years of your secondary education (shorter is not possible).
  2. Check to see whether you are eligible to apply through the Luxembourgish National Committee.
  3. Follow this link to find the relevant application forms. Your guardians and teachers must also fill out forms. Submit your application package by 31 January 2024. A first selection determines who is invited to step 4.
  4. Those who were successful in their written applications are invited for a day of interviews, group discussions and activities. This day will also provide candidates with the opportunity to ask questions.
  5. Successful applicants will be nominated by the Luxembourg National Committee to attend one of the 18 UWC campuses across the world. Further nomination documentation is then submitted to a given school before a student's spot can be fully confirmed.

Selected students embark on their UWC journey at the end of August or early September (January for students going to Waterford Kamhlaba UWC of Southern Africa).
